Since I was a child in Brazil, I always dreamed of going to school in Germany and studying medicine afterwards. However, I would never have thought it possible that this dream would come true. But on my 15th birthday the time had come. I got the chance to come to Germany to learn German and thus to fulfill my greatest wish.

I spent a total of two years at the Humboldt Boarding School in Lindenberg. Coming to Germany without speaking the language, I had to learn German for the first six months and then went to high school in Lindenberg and began to study towards my Abitur. Despite the great effort that was necessary to reach my goals, the team at Humboldt made my time unforgettable, and I immediately felt like part of a large family.

During this time I learned a lot more than just the German language. Commitment, discipline, effort and courage have made me grow as a person. The team at the Humboldt Boarding School accompanied me every day and encouraged me not to give up, even if it was particularly difficult for me at the moment.

The Humboldt family that I experienced here was so incredibly nice that I cannot describe it in my own words. The friends from all over the world distracted me so much, the many trips made life so beautiful that I always had the motivation to achieve my goals.

At first nobody believed that I could learn German and speak fluent German in just under seven months. Nobody believed that three years later I would do my Abitur and now study IT at university.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Güthling family and all the great employees of the institute, because you made it all possible.

I always think fondly back to Humboldt, my very first step into Germany. From 16 to 19 I have spent the most important three years of my youth at the Humboldt Boarding School in Lindenberg.

The international atmosphere, the nice and cool staff and, of course, the delicious food in the dining room are firmly anchored in my memory.

I hope that Humboldt will continue to remain as it is in the future and that even more students will be able to leave their comfort zone and experience an unforgettable development process.

When I remember my time at the Humboldt Boarding School in Lindenberg, I think of competent teachers and a headmistress who always took care of us. I always knew that I would be supported with any problem.

I have spent my 10th to 12th grade with Humboldt and now I'm studying medicine at university.

I often remember my time at Humboldt, especially the nice staff, who offered us students a family environment, and the excellent food that students can only miss.

We got to know a lot about Germany during the excursions. In retrospect, it was a real luxury.

It has now been a year since I graduated with the Abitur. However, I always remember the wonderful time at the Humboldt Boarding School in Lindenberg, where I have spent three wonderful years.

During this time we have recognized the importance of teamwork and a strong will. We have always encouraged each other.

We have not only learned at school and passed our Abitur, with Humboldt we have broadened our horizons and developed our personality.
